A clean bill of health.
Virtus ran six separate websites for their specialist day hospitals, so every change and security update had to be made six times. Pivale brought them onto one secure Drupal website on a new domain, with a design system the wider Virtus group can reuse.

- 6
- hospital websites now run as one Drupal platform
- 1
- design system across Virtus's entire suite of websites
Six websites, six of everything.
Virtus ran a separate website for each of their six day hospitals. On the surface everything worked. Behind the scenes it meant duplicated effort, inconsistent updates and unnecessary risk.
Every change had to be repeated on each site, and security had to be managed in six places.
The websites had served the business for more than 10 years. It was time for a rebuild that could change with the needs of the business and their patients.
A freelance designer created the new design. Pivale ran discovery, built it as reusable Drupal components, moved the content across and connected the site to Virtus's Salesforce CRM, working across European and Australian time zones.
One site, one codebase.
- 1
One platform and domain
The six sites became one Drupal website on a new domain, with one place to manage content, security and updates.
- 2
A design system for the group
A clean, modern design system built for reuse, which will go on to shape upcoming website rebuilds across the Virtus Health group.
- 3
Security first
Security was part of the build from day one, with one hardened system in place of six separate sites.
- 4
A simpler content structure
Content updates are simpler and the same across all the hospitals, and a new hospital can be added without duplicating effort.
- 5
Hosted on Upsun and Cloudflare
The site runs on Upsun's cloud behind Cloudflare. Upsun's environments meet standards including ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, PCI L1 and HIPAA.

One website for every Virtus day hospital.
The same site on mobile.
Designed for patients, built for progress.
- 1
6 sites to 1 platform
Less duplication, and far easier to manage.
- 2
Stronger security
One hardened system in place of six separate sites, with lower cost and less risk.
- 3
Faster workflows
Content updates are simpler and consistent across all the hospitals.
- 4
Lower long-term cost
No licence fees and no bloated stack.
- The problem
- Fertility clinic websites in Europe, Australia and Singapore, each built and hosted its own way.
- The solution
- One Drupal multisite platform with a shared pattern library, so each clinic keeps their own brand.
- The outcome
- 12 consistent websites, the first seven built for half the cost of building them separately.
Virtus HealthHealthy investor relations- The problem
- A listed fertility group who needed a corporate site for investors alongside their clinic websites.
- The solution
- A global corporate site on the group's Drupal multisite, sharing its design system, security and updates.
- The outcome
- Seven sites, the corporate site included, for half the cost of building them the traditional way.
