A new name to live up to.

Phoenix Arts needed one website for all their venues under their new name, so local residents stop missing shows and events in their area.

Phoenix Arts is a registered charity, founded in 1982, that stages events, shows, classes and workshops. It is the only long-standing entertainment provider in a Hampshire town going through major regeneration, and it changed its name from The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre to match the new town centre.

Its old website made events hard to promote and cross-promote, and it had security issues. Staff needed an easier way to manage events and edit content, and the site had to meet ePrivacy rules.

A Drupal site built around events.

  1. 1

    TicketSource integration

Event information comes through from TicketSource's API, so staff manage events in one place and patrons book in fewer steps.

  2. 2

    One events calendar

One calendar combines recurring classes, clubs and workshops with one-off and multi-day events, all kept up to date from TicketSource.

  3. 3

    Easier to find what's on

Patrons filter events by type and age suitability, browse venue pages and find classes and workshops in their own section.

  4. 4

    50+ design components

Editors combine more than 50 components into pages, with banners and calls to action for bookings, donations and volunteers.

  5. 5

    Simpler navigation

Fewer main menu items give patrons a shorter route to events, venues and booking.
