# Pivale launch a faster, more accessible website

Today we've launched a new pivale.co. We rebuilt it from the ground up with one aim: to make it quick and easy for business leaders to see how we can help, and to book a call with one of our friendly experts when they're ready.

We tell clients that a website should be fast, easy to use and open to everyone. So we set ourselves the same standard, and we measured it.

## Fast on any device

Every page on the new site is ready before you ask for it. There's no database to query and no page to assemble while you wait, so pages arrive straight from servers close to you.

On Google's Lighthouse test, which simulates a mid-range phone on a slow mobile connection, our homepage scored 100 out of 100 for performance on 30 October 2026. Its main content appeared in 1.2 seconds, and the whole page, images included, weighs 226 KB.

A few of the things that make the difference:

- **Images sized for your screen.** Each image is resized for the device that asks for it and sent in modern formats (WebP and AVIF), so a phone never downloads a desktop-sized photo. Images further down the page wait until you scroll to them.
- **A lighter font.** We trimmed our typeface to the weights and widths we use, which cut it from 88 KB to 56 KB.
- **No waiting on stylesheets.** Each page carries its own styles, so nothing holds it back from appearing.
- **Nothing jumps around.** Images and panels keep their space while they load, so the text you're reading stays where it is. Every page we tested scored zero for layout shift.

## Open to everyone

Accessibility was part of the brief from the first sketch. We tested every page against Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), and on 30 October 2026 all 172 passed the automated checks. Lighthouse gave every page we tested 100 for accessibility.

Automated tools only find some problems, so we also built and tested with a keyboard and screen readers. You'll notice it in the details:

- **Text you can read.** Nothing on the site is smaller than 14px. We raised our labels and captions after people told us small text was hard to read.
- **Strong contrast.** Every colour of text on the site meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio against its background.
- **Full keyboard support.** Menus, tabs, search and the booking form all work without a mouse, with a clear outline showing where you are.
- **Calm when you need it.** If your device asks for reduced motion, every animation on the site stops and shows its final state.
- **Tables that make sense when read aloud.** Comparison tables tell screen readers which row and column each cell belongs to.

Our [accessibility statement](https://www.pivale.co/accessibility-statement/) sets out how we test and what's still outside our control.

## Easier to find what you need

We rewrote every solution and service page, and gave each service a single page of its own instead of a tree of sub-pages. Each one starts with the problem you're facing, then shows how we help and what changes, with proof from our case studies.

New tools help you get to the point faster:

- **"Which of these is holding you back?"** On the homepage, tick the problems that sound familiar and we'll show you how we fix each one, with a real result from our work. Your shortlist carries through to the booking form, so we know what you'd like to talk about before we meet.
- **Book a call in a few steps.** The booking form sends your details and topics straight to our calendar, so you pick a time and you're done.
- **A support plan chooser.** Answer up to four questions about your website and we'll suggest the plan that fits.
- **Site search.** Search every page and article from the magnifying glass at the top of the page, or press Ctrl K (⌘ K on a Mac). Solutions and services rank highest in the results.
- **Filters by topic.** Browse our case studies and our 115 blog articles by subject.

## A new look

The design is dark, flat and architectural. Large type sets out each idea in a few words, and a visible 12-column grid lines up everything on the page. One accent colour, teal, marks the things you can act on.

Look out for the animation at the top of the homepage: the systems a business runs on start as a jumble and fall into place as one connected platform. It's the work we do for our clients, in a few seconds. Moving between pages, each new page rises into place column by column along the same grid.

## More to read

The new site brings together:

- **20 case studies**, each with the problem, the solution and the outcome in a sentence apiece, and the figures our clients saw.
- **115 articles** from our blog, from our earliest posts to the newest.
- **23 answers** to the questions clients ask us most, rewritten in plain English.
- **A resources hub** with our UK IVF benchmark report, free downloads, our web experiments and our new online brand guidelines.

Every address from the old site now leads to its new home, so links and bookmarks keep working.

## Ready for AI assistants

More people now ask an AI assistant to research suppliers for them. Every page on the new site has a plain-text Markdown version, and an llms.txt file guides AI tools to the pages that matter, so their answers about us match what we say.

## Privacy by default

Our fonts come from our own servers, so loading a page tells no font service you visited. Videos, maps and code demos from other services stay switched off until you allow their cookies, and YouTube videos play from its no-cookie address.
